This week we share the various thoughts we’ve heard over the years (and over the course of our current run of Comedy (abridged) at Marin Theatre Company) and marvel at the joys of sharing, the wonders of carrying on the traditions of vaudeville and the Catskills, the shock of critical forthrightness, the embarrassment of unintentionally shameful admissions, the burden of unsolicited advice, and — finally! — the reason why we don’t sell as much merchandise at the table as we should.
